Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HYPEE (https://hypee.lol) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the site, click a listing, subscribe to emails, or pay for a ranking. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.

Who is responsible

What we collect

• Visitor identifier. A random ID in an HTTP-only cookie named hypee-visitor-id, stored for up to one year. It attaches a checkout to a browser and limits duplicate click counts. It is not your name.
• Listing data. The platform, handle, display name, niche, optional bio and self-reported follower count you submit, plus the avatar we resolve for that profile.
• Payment data. Card and UPI details are collected by Razorpay, not by us. We store Razorpay order and payment-link identifiers so we can place the ranking, and the amount paid.
• Clicks. When you open a listing from the board we record the listing, a timestamp, the visitor ID, and a hashed IP address. The hash is for rate limiting and fake-click reduction, not to profile you.
• Technical data. Standard request data such as user agent, referrer, and IP address may be processed by our host to operate and secure the service.
• Emails you send us. Kept as needed to respond and to keep a record.

Cookies

The visitor-ID cookie is strictly necessary — it makes checkout and click protection work. We do not use it for advertising. Your browser may also store a theme preference locally.

Why we use this data

• To take payment, create or raise a listing, show rank, and run the service.
• To keep the board fair: rate limits, bot filtering, displaying public listing data, measuring visits, debugging outages, and defending legal claims.
• To send a digest, if you asked for one. You can unsubscribe at any time.

What is public

Listings are public by design. The profile, niche, amount paid, rank, and click count are visible to anyone. Do not list a profile if you do not want that information public.

Who we share with

• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Our hosting and database providers, to run the site.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Click records are kept in aggregate. Removed listings are retained only as needed for legal and financial records.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to processing. Email contact@hypee.lol. Removal of a listing does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a listing belongs to a minor, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
